Self Assigned Paper

So recently I've decide to assign myself a paper on the second coming. This is because I read a book about the plan of salvation that taught me a lot about the second coming and after reading that I wanted to learn more. So I read another book about the signs before he comes. And then to research further I thought I would look in the scriptures. But then it occurred to me that if I'm going to research all this stuff I might as well write a paper about it. Because as my mother says that if you write or teach something you remember it much better than when you just read it. So I've been trying to research but in the scriptures there is so many references you wouldn't even believe it. Actually that's not true but you get what I'm saying. There's a lot. I really hope it goes well and that I can stick to it. Sometimes when I say I'll do something that I assign myself I'll start it and then I'll lose enthusiasm and just give up on it. The thing is that the second coming is a really important thing to learn about and I want to try really hard to prepare for it and the key to doing that is to know what to prepare for. If any of you readers have good books to read on it that would help my research greatly. I don't remember if I told you but along with all of my other school I plan on writing self assigned papers on whatever catches my interest. Because I realized that last year there was a lot of stuff that I wanted to learn more about but I didn't write down what it was and act on the thought of learning more about it. So this year I think I'm going to have a notebook and write down the things that I want to learn more about and then write papers about those things. And then when I'm done writing them I'm going to put them in a binder and save them. I'll probably look back at them when I'm older and laugh at them but it's always good to have a record of your younger years. You know what's sad is that someday I'll be an old lady. That will be so weird! I feel like I'll be fifteen forever but just slowly I get older and older. Now I'm just depressing myself. I don't want to get old. I think the oldest I want to get is twenty five. Maybe when I get past that age I'll just have the spunk and attitude for the rest of my life. Can you imagine an eighty year old acting like a twenty year old in that way. That would be interesting. Let's see if  I can accomplish my goal. No one die before I turn eighty! :) This all just came to my mind because of me thinking about getting old and looking back at my papers. It's really interesting what the human mind can think up in almost an instant. Any way back on topic. I am going to most likely be assigning myself papers throughout the school year and I may or may not write about them. Any way that's all I've got to say for now.

Have you read Carry On, Mr Bowditch yet? He did that same thing with his learning. He kept notebooks on the subject he wanted to know about and filled many many through the years. I love that idea! And I'm excited to have you in my class!

Are you sure your only 13? Or 14? You are very wise for your age. Thanks for your example!
