Sorry I haven't posted in forever. But even though I haven't been blogging I've been keeping myself busy. So first off I had a birthday party with my friends from my homeschooling classes. We went to the History Museum and went out to a late lunch so that was all fun. Then like two weeks later it was my birthday which was enjoyed greatly. I got to go out to dinner and get some new clothes and all my siblings got me some sort of present. Then the Saturday after my birthday I went to my first dance and had a second birthday party thanks to my friends from church who love me.The party was fun and I had a delicious cheesecake even though there was apparently some mess up in the topping. But even if there was it didn't make difference. The dance was also really fun but it turns out boys have really gross sweaty hands and pretty much you just dance with your group of friends and occasionally you will get asked to dance and so yeah that's how I've experienced gross hands. Oh well other than that it was fun. Then a couple days later I had my new baby sister Joan-Claire. She's almost three weeks old now. I've been waiting for my mother to post about her but she has lost her chance and now I am stealing the opportunity. :) Any way she's getting chunky already and she's sweet like all babies are. I'll let my mom go into full detail so I haven't stolen the opportunity. Any way I've also been really busy with Shakespeare. I don't think I told you who I got after the play auditions. I'm going to be Leonata. She has the second most lines and she's actually supposed to be a boy but we didn't have enough girls so you know it doesn't matter. Any way I'm almost done with all my requirements for my Badge of Courage class/ WW2 Class. I have recently memorized a really sad poem that goes like this:
In Flanders fields the poppies grow between the crosses row on row. That mark our place, and in the sky the larks, still bravely singing, fly. Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago we felt dawn, saw sunsets glow. Loved, and were loved and now we lie in Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe. To you from failing hands we through the torch. Be yours to hold it high. If you break faith with us who die, we shall not sleep though poppies grow in Flanders fields.
SO yeah that's the poem. I find it really sad. They turned it into a song that is actually really pretty but I can never remember the tune. I'm already starting to memorize lines for the play. It's so exciting. Of course I can't tell you guys to much because I want you guys to see for yourself. In like two weeks I'll be getting invitations to hand out so what I'll probably do is scan it and then you will all be technically invited. :) Any way Yeah I've been busy and I've made up with this super long post with no pictures. :) Never mind I'll add one picture of the hair styles from the time period of the play. What hairstyle should I do my hair in. Help me decide by voting. :) I can't wait for tomorrow because I'm going to an air plane museum that shows air planes from world war one and two and other cool planes like that. Well I guess that's all for now.
